Fourth of July 2010 - Part Two

On Saturday, we decided to go on a drive with Mom & Dad Bryce. We went up Big Cottonwood Canyon and circled around on some tiny dirt road to get to Park City then came back through Emigration Canyon. We saw some beautiful country and had a fun time talking, all the while I was ready to yell at the boys for the constant mayhem in the backseat - nothing like yelling at your kids in front of the in-laws. Sorry Mom and Dad for my grumpiness - I'm sure you understand since you had five boys of your own, and know that they can drive you temporarily crazy. We stopped several places looking for Geo Cache but never found a place to stop for a picnic till we got back into town.

Nash was just grateful to make it off that dirt road with all the drop offs he could see out his window. After we got off the mountain, he told Jacob, "We're safe now!" We all got a good laugh out of it.

Looking for more Geo Cache

Lainie is so happy to be out of her carseat.

We got back into Salt Lake and decided to find a park for our picnic. Lo and behold my map came in handy and we ended up finding a beautiful park, "Liberty Park," minus the oil spill in the duck pond, which was being cleaned. It was a truly beautiful park.

I was such a fun day! We got home and relaxed for a little while, then did fireworks in our street and could see the city fireworks from our front lawn. It was a lot of fun! The kids loved the fireworks!

The rest of our weekend with Mom and Dad was just as much fun too! We did some shopping-lots of shopping for the girls, eating out at some great restaurants and hanging out!!! Thanks for coming Mom & Dad! Wish I would have been thinking more clearly and got some pics of the kids with Grandpa and Grandma. It was so great seeing you and we miss you like crazy!!!
