Lainie is ONE!!!

My baby turned ONE YEAR old on February 18th! It's just plain crazy how fast she is growing up. We had a fun little family party for her and she was so funny about everything! She is the first girl that I've met that doesn't like Chocolate. She hardly ate any of her cake. She would pick at it and then flick it on the floor or pull out what I put in her mouth and fling that down. I was a little sad that she didn't enjoy her cake, so I enjoyed it for her.

WARNING: There are a lot of pics.

So excited to open her presents.

New capris for the warmer weather.

A Fun new dress - maybe her Easter dress.

She's getting it done.

Her "Big" present - a musical table.

I'm not sure who loves this more - her or the boys.

Lainie's FIRST Birthday Cake

She's picking off the confetti candy.

See her right hand, that's her flicking the confetti candy onto the floor.

She tasted it a couple of times, but mostly spit it out and threw it.

Still not sure what she thinks about it.

I LOVE this picture.

Mmmm... that's right rub it on in there girl.
Make more work for mom.

For not eating much, she sure got messy.

Kisses anyone?

A FEW of the things that I LOVE about LAINIE:

  • Lainie is such a GOOD baby!
  • Lainie is a HAPPY Girl!
  • Lainie can BRIGHTEN up the room!
  • Lainie LOVES all her brothers and shows it with little hugs and smiles!
  • Lainie LOVES her DADDY!
  • Lainie brings so much JOY to each of us!!!

Some of the THINGS that LAINIE is up to these DAYS:

  • Lainie can CRAWL at top speed now - shaking her little bootie as she goes.
  • Lainie has around 12 teeth now. She won't open up to let us count. :)
  • Lainie has learned to PULL herself up to things.
  • Lainie can CLIMB all of the stairs by herself. (A little scary)
  • Lainie loves CHEERIOS.

Nash is 7!!!

Nash turned 7 years old on February 13th.
I can't believe that he is already that old.
It doesn't seem like it has been all that long since he was crawling around and learning to walk. Crazy how the time flies!
We had a quiet party here at home with the family.
Here are some pics of Nash opening presents and
of course the cake.

A little something from the siblings - Mmmm SpongeBob chocolates.

Baseballs - plastic so we won't have to replace any windows (hopefully).
Baseball Tee

Nash's bat - not to be used as a weapon against pesky little brothers.

K'Nex

This was the cupcake cake he picked out to take to school.
They loved it!
Here is the cake we had at home for him.

Make a WISH!

Another special treat for Nash was that he got to go to work for half of the day with Ragan on Monday, since he was out of school for President's Day. He came home with a hard hat, safety glasses and a orange safety vest. He had a BLAST!!!! He loves hanging out with his Dad!!!

Here are a few of the things that I LOVE about Nash:
  • Nash is such an INCREDIBLE son!!! We love him so much!!!!
  • He is an AMAZING brother - he shares and teaches his brothers so kindly and usually very patiently too and he is so sweet with Lainie.
  • He is SO SMART - seriously I know I'm bragging, but the boy understands things that are beyond me sometimes.
  • He has a HUGE HEART and loves his family and friends.
  • He is such a GOOD LISTENER and tries so hard to be obedient and do what is RIGHT!

Some things that Nash is INTERESTED in right now:

  • Nash LOVES to BUILD things - Erector set, K'Nex, blocks, forts - you name it and he has probably tried and most likely succeeded in building it. This is a good thing since he wants to be in Construction like his Dad and work at the same company with him too. :)
  • Nash really likes to LEARN! He loves to sit and watch Ragan's shows with him like "How it's Made," "This Old House," and "New Yankee Workshop."
  • He loves school - Math and Science are his favorite subjects, but he also rocks at spelling.
  • Nash is really getting into sports. He likes them all - football, basketball, and baseball.
  • He is enjoying his Dad's xbox and loves to play Lego Batman and Indiana Jones with Ragan or Jacob. It's fun to watch them get so into it.

I feel so blessed to have Nash as my son. He is such a good example to his brothers and sister, and to me as well. I just LOVE him SO MUCH!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NASH!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!!!
