Logan - The Town, Not Our Son

Back in April, we took a trip to Idaho (next post) and on our way up we decided to take a detour to Logan (GREAT idea Ragan)! Ragan and I don't ever remember being there and we loved it. Anyway, we stopped by the Logan Temple, which is where our Logan got his name, since most of my mom's ancestors and my parents were married there.

The temple was so BEAUTIFUL!!!! We loved it! Several people were nice enough to stop and take pics so the whole fam could be in the pic.

Gotta love the wind and what it does to our girl hair. :)

Lainie posing.
In defense of her lovely hair, she just woke up from a nap
on our drive and pulled out her ponytail.
The wind just makes it even better.

We had a fun couple of hours in Logan. After walking around the temple, we asked a nice lady where a good place to eat lunch, so we went to The Bluebird Restaurant. It was so GOOD!!! I loved the old decor and everything! Then we went around the corner to The Bluebird Candy Company and got some of the best chocolates that I have ever tasted. YUMMY!!!! We stopped in a few other stores but had to get back on the road. We are going back soon to enjoy more of this beautiful town!

Cool side note: After we left Logan, I called my mom for her bday and was telling her about our fun time in Logan. It turns out that she and my dad had their wedding luncheon at The Bluebird Restaurant. What a cool coincidence!!!

Girly Hair News

Who knew that I would have so much fun playing with my little girl's hair?! Certainly not me. I'm still learning, but having fun as we go.

This is her hair back in April before she got it cut - long enough to pull up almost all of it into pigtails. LOVED IT!!!!

Love the piggies!

Same day, just dressed in her getup.

How lucky are we? Our awesome new neighbor happens to cut hair - in her house. How easy is that?!!! So, I got the boys hair cut and figured I'd get Lainie's reshaped. LOVE IT!!!!

Here she is in her Easter dress with her new do.
So fun!!!!

Here is the back.
Love it!

Here she is being so ladylike on her new bike right before Church.
She is something!

Lainie has brought so much joy and sweetness into our home!
We love ya' Lainie Lou!!!!

Easter 2010

Our Easter celebration was very simple this year thanks to the cold and wet weather! We started off with a very healthy breakfast, followed by some egg coloring and decorating, then we had an egg hunt - in our house - several times. The kids loved it and that is all that matters.

Here is our yummy breakfast from a place called "Beyond Glazed."
These are some delicious gourmet doughnuts!!!!

Coloring some eggs - yes in their PJs.

Lainie was just in a diaper, so she isn't shown, my little rugrat.

So Pretty!!!

Diving into their candy.

Lainie was loving her smarties.

Logan is just a little happy with his haul, if you can't tell.

It was a nice Easter at home with our kids!
They are so much FUN!!!!

Snow Fun in April

Bear with me as we play catch up over the next few posts.

The boys had a long weekend for Easter and it snowed, in April. I'm still not use to this unpredictable weather here.

So I bundled the boys up like the kid on the movie, "A Christmas Story," and sent them out to play and build a snowman. I went out to check on them and was so sad that they were going about the snowman totally wrong. So, I threw on some shoes, a beanie, and gloves and headed out to show them how to make a snowman - how deprived are my kids, huh?!!!

We had so much fun!!! Lainie watched from the open front door as we made the snowman and proceeded to get into a snowball fight. I think my neighbors may think I'm crazy because I was having as much fun as the boys.

Here is our awesome snowman!

It was a FUN day playing in the snow and then warming up with a hot shower and some cocoa for all!
