December Happenings

December has been a very busy and fun month!!! As many of you know, I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!! I LOVE everything about this time of year! We try to do as many fun things with the kids as we can to celebrate Christmas. Here are just a few of our activities that I actually got pics of.

Lainie's cute do for one of our days out.

Posing by the tree.

Logan's preschool Christmas program.
He was so cute and very shy - he kept hiding behind the boy next to him so I didn't get many pics of him.

We took the kids to Temple Square in Salt Lake City for one of our Family Home Evenings during December. It was so amazing and beautiful!!! After, we went for dinner and ice cream. It was such a memorable family night with our kiddos!

Our family (freezing)
The trees behind us were so pretty - pic doesn't do it justice.

Loved this one.

Kids by a light tree.

Ragan and the kids!

So Beautiful!!!

Another one I love!

I just love these kiddos of ours!!!

We had so much FUN!!!!

Some of the other things we like to do for Christmas:
  • Drive and look at Christmas lights
  • Bake cookies and yummy treats to share
  • Christmas movie nights (this year was "The Christmas Carol" and "A Christmas Story")
  • Decorate our whole house for Christmas, not just the tree
  • Advent calendar with candy for each day
  • Decorate a gingerbread house
  • Set out ALL of our Nativity sets throughout the house to remind us of the TRUE meaning of Christmas.

Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!

Boy did it ever too!!! On our way back from Thanksgiving in Arizona, it started snowing in Kanab and kept on snowing for the entire trip home. Six plus hours of driving in snow, seeing people off in the shoulder, and wondering whether to stop somewhere for the night or not. Let me tell you how grateful we were for our Beast of a Suburban and 4-wheel drive. So glad to get home safely!!!! This is what we awoke to the next day!

Our backyard before the kids found the untouched snow!

Look at the patio table and how much snow we got!
Insane!

They are all geared up and ready for some snow time!

Jacob making a snow angel.

Nash digging out a fort.

Logan eating the snow -licking it right off the top.

Just a little snow burn on the face.

Lainie loved the snow!

My four little snow monsters!

Brrr...is all I can say! I shoveled snow for over three hours just doing our walks and driveway. Why did we get a house with such a big driveway anyway?! Seriously a good workout!!!!

Happy Halloween - 2010

Our Halloween was busy as always, but the kids had a blast! We had our ward Trunk-or-Treat, school parties, and of course Halloween night (which was rainy and cold).

Our cute witch!

She loved getting to wear makeup this year.
I'm in trouble - not even 3 and loves makeup.

Logan wanted to be Bumblebee again.

Bumblebee's close up!

Jacob was Darth Vader!

Jacob's close up!

Nash was Harry Potter!

His close up

The whole Bryce Clan!
Tons of candy, lots of costume dressing, makeup,
and the chaos is over!
One more Halloween gone!

Halloween Program

Nash's entire 3rd grade did a Halloween Fashion Show/Program. It was so cute! They sang songs, had a fashion runway where they would announce the details including fake price of each costume. It was really creative and Nash had a lot of fun!!!

Our very own Harry Potter

Nash during the program with the other Potters

It was a fun family night and Nash did great!!!!

Pumpkins Coming Out of Our Ears

We had such a fun time this year with our garden. We planted two pumpkin plants so that we would get a few for Halloween and we ended up with a total of 27 PUMPKINS!!!! SO FUN!!!! I was so excited to get all these pumpkins!

Here are the kids with just part of our pumpkin harvest.

Our house with our pumpkins scattered through the front yard
Lainie is posing on the steps for us.

The Carving!
We carved four Jack-o-Lanterns this year
one for each kid.

The kids by their own jack-o-lantern.
(Nash is dressed up from his school Halloween show.)
Lainie had so much fun just drawing on hers - it even has ears.

We LOVED having our own pumpkin patch!
The kids loved to go out and count them in the garden and see how big they were getting!
It sure was fun!

Are You Ready For Some FOOTBALL???

FLAG FOOTBALL that is! Nash played in the City's Fall Flag Football and loved it!!! He caught on quick and did great!!! Here are just a few pics of him playing throughout his season!

Concentration!!

Totally smiling at me between plays - so cute!

He is ready for the ball!

It has been so great being up here where our kids have been able to be involved in sports, school, Scouts, and they have made some great friends. We are loving all the new experiences they are having here!!!

Another Fun Logan Trip

We went to Logan the first Saturday in October. My mom and brother, Troy, came with us too!!! It was such a fun day!!! We started off at a Farmer's Market in this beautiful park. Yummy treats and fun crafts to buy all around - it was awesome!!! We let the kids play awhile at the playground.

Lainie LOVES slides!

Logan with his sweet smile!

Nash swinging across like a monkey.

Jacob totally posing for me!

The whole fam!
Thanks Troy for taking our pic for us!

Next, we went to lunch at The Bluebird Cafe - which was so good!!! Of course, then we headed to The Bluebird Chocolate Company, which has the most divine chocolates! Stopped by another store, which happened to be putting out Christmas decorations, so I was in heaven, and got some cute things for my tree. (I love CHRISTMAS!!!)

Kiddos outside the store!
Munching on their candy.

Before we left, we headed up by the Logan Temple and realized in was closed due to Conference, so Troy and I took some pics through the fence. I love this Temple, it is so beautiful!!!

Taken from the park down the hill.

It was a fun day!!! I love going to Logan, it is such an easy trip for the day and has such fun things to do with our family!!!! What a beautiful place!!!!
