Happy New Year to all our Friends and Family!!!

Christmas 2009

Christmas Eve this year seemed extra special and fun. We went to the Mesa Temple and walked around enjoying the beautiful lights and nativity displays along with the special spirit felt there. It was so nice! We came home, the kids opened one Christmas Eve present - pjs and then got cookies and hot cocoa ready for Santa.

Christmas morning was totally crazy. Nash and Jacob woke up super early, like 4:30am and we told them to go play in Nash's room until the others woke up. Yeah, that didn't work. Logan woke up and the three boys snuck downstairs and started checking out everything they got before Ragan, Lainie, and I were even awake. I heard music so went to check it out and Logan has dumped out his entire stocking and is not only checking out his gifts but playing with Lainie's as well. So, I sent them to their rooms and told them to wait 5 minutes while we wake up and get Lainie. I know, what a mean mom, but seriously couldn't they at least wake us up so I could get pictures. Ragan is chuckling the whole time saying how he and his brothers did the exact same thing. Sheesh! Boys!

So with the craziness and the whole thing starting off this way, pictures were not so great and it was almost impossible to get them to hold still for the 2 seconds it takes to snap a shot. So here is our crazy Christmas morning. . .

Nash asked Santa for only one thing this year - an Airhog Switchblade. He also got some fun things from his brothers and sister and a few more small things from Santa as well as the clothes from mom and dad.

Jacob also asked for only one thing - a "Dark Maul Lightsaber" - which he got. He got some bakugons, clothes, cars and candy as well.

Lainie got a cute baby Belle doll and a stroller from Santa. She got some other cute girly things from her brothers and some fun clothes.

Mom and Dad asked Santa for something as well - a Wii for the whole family. We thought this would be a fun family thing and will give us something to do once we move to Utah and it will be too cold to be outside.

We finished our morning off with homemade waffles and bacon for breakfast. The kids played while Ragan and I packed and got ready to drive to Thatcher to visit the Bryces.

We had a fun Christmas and all the kids got just what they wanted - good thing they stayed on the "Nice List" - some days it was a close call. :)
