My baby turned ONE YEAR old on February 18th! It's just plain crazy how fast she is growing up. We had a fun little family party for her and she was so funny about everything! She is the first girl that I've met that doesn't like Chocolate. She hardly ate any of her cake. She would pick at it and then flick it on the floor or pull out what I put in her mouth and fling that down. I was a little sad that she didn't enjoy her cake, so I enjoyed it for her.

Lainie's FIRST Birthday Cake

She tasted it a couple of times, but mostly spit it out and threw it.
Still not sure what she thinks about it.

Some of the THINGS that LAINIE is up to these DAYS:
- Lainie can CRAWL at top speed now - shaking her little bootie as she goes.
- Lainie has around 12 teeth now. She won't open up to let us count. :)
- Lainie has learned to PULL herself up to things.
- Lainie can CLIMB all of the stairs by herself. (A little scary)
- Lainie loves CHEERIOS.
- Lainie does not love CHOCOLATE CAKE.

Julie - she is just so stinkin' cute! I can't believe she is a year old already. Your favorite pic is one of my favorites, too - but I really love the very last one you posted. I have pics of my neices on their first birthdays with the chocolate cakes smeared all over them, too. And that was 20 years ago. Some things never change!
So cute. I miss those days. It goes by waaay to fast! My baby just turned 7 and my oldest will be 12 soon! :(
By the way... My sister HATES chocolate! Which I can NOT understand! I believe chocolate makes ALMOST anything better. :)
I can't believe it's been a year! Holy cow! She is so darling! We miss you tons. Elijah says to say HI to Nash! We love you!!!
